"We are offering now our TC cables in a clear and white color scheme. The purpose of this was more than aesthetic.
Several years ago it was discovered that we could hear a subtle difference due to the color of the dielectrics used in our cables. Of course, these may be the same audiophiles who think they can hear grass grow. But seriously, we set out to validate this in terms of measurements. As it turns out, we could see small changes in the response of a cable as the color varied. We attribute these findings to the color doping agents that are used to tint a dielectric. These doping materials are metallic and mineral based. Similar to what you observe in fireworks, the colors are created by the careful use of metallic and mineral based substances. Certain metals tend to have a slightly greater effect than others while no metals proved to be best. What this means to you is that the clear/white versions of these cables have slightly better performance.
In keeping with these findings we have gradually incorporated this ideal into a number of our cable designs: Select, Ag products, Hero, Timbre, Tonik, HB and now TC to name a few. With regard to 4TC and 8TC, we have made the decision to manufacture these cables with the clear and white color scheme as standard issue. We recommend using the clear conductors as positive and the white conductors as negative. The blue / black issue of the TC cables will still be available."
