På High-End messen i Munchen 2019 ble Carina serien sett og hørt for første gang i Europa. Serien tar utgangspunkt i den anerkjente og pris-vinnende 240-serien. Carina benytter ELAC sin tradisjon ved å benytte seg av en egenutviklet bånd-diskant som gir eksepsjonell dynamikk og musikalitet. ELAC JET-diskant er en av de mest legendariske tweeterne i bransjen og har vunnet internasjonal ros for sitt åpne og uanstrengte lydbilde. Wooferen i Carina har en unik buet design som utvider høyfrekvens responsen og gir bedre integrasjon med Jet-diskanten. En bassport som er vendt nedover i bunn av høyttalerne reduserer ventilasjonsstøy og tillater installasjon i en bokhylle eller nærmere mot bakvegg. Friskt utseende, frisk lyd, med Carina vil ELAC sitt klasseledende omdømme bli ytterligere forsterket. Carina-serien har tre modeller: Gulvhøyttaler ELAC Carina FS247.4, stativhøyttaler Carina BS243.4 og senterkanal Carina CC241.4

To match the capabilities of the JET tweeter and guarantee a seamless transition from the woofer to the JET tweeter, the compound curvature cone has been developed to control the cone breakup and move it well beyond the operating range of the woofer. A large diameter voice coil and over-sized vented pole piece magnet combine to give remarkable bass dynamics and a rich powerful performance.
For a more flexible speaker placement and to minimize ventilation noise, the bass reflex port on the Carina series is directed to the floor, exiting the bottom of the speaker cabinet in a down-firing configuration.
