The ekinex® Modbus RS485 - KNX Gateway performs a protocol conversion between a serial RS485 Modbus RTU and a KNX TP network.
DESCRIPTION
Device working as a gateway (protocol conversion) between a RS485 serial network with Modbus RTU protocol and a KNX (TP) network. Master function on the Modbus RTU network. Mounting in distribution board on EN 60715 rail (4 modular units, each 18 mm). To be used in KNX installations for home and building automation.
FUNCTIONS / CHARACTERISTICS
Modbus side • Electrically insulated RS485 serial communication port, 1-way DIP switch to activate the line terminator (120 Ohm) • Modbus master RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) communication • Communication speed from 1200 to 115200 baud • Device addressing from 0 to 250 • Register exchange of Coil, Input, and Input Register Holding Register type • Reading and writing of single and multiple registers • Volatile support memory with "Modbus image" buffer of 1440 bytes KNX side • KNX TP (twisted pair) 9600 baud communication port, electrically insulated from power supply • Volatile support memory with "image KNX" buffer of 1440 bytes
